Sounds great, however I'm in the very early stages of my business, and am struggling with the concept of "start up" funds. You asked in your video - what is the key issue between where you want to go and where you are? My answer was time and money.
I've really enjoyed your free videos and have some fantastic ideas. I'd love to do coaching and be surrounded by people who are successful at building business. The challenge is how to balance doing the work in the business to put food on the table, compared with finding the time to work on the business and find the capital to get some of these ideas off the ground.
I'd appreciate any thoughts you have around this issue.

You asked for thoughts regarding coaching or mastermind groups. I have mixed thoughts. I already am part of a mastermind group, but I seriously need to make a change and get higher-octane people there to help me. So on one hand, yes I'd be interested in joining a mastermind group.
However, my issue is low-to-moderate effectiveness for free versus high effectiveness for big dollars.
Every offer to join MM groups that I've received from super-high-octane folks such as you have come with a (high) price tag. I find those to be cost-prohibitive. They promise to "skyrocket" me, and they probably would, but coming up with initial cash is something I haven't figured out YET. I'm working on it. For now I'll keep reading like a maniac and bumble along with my lower-octane friends. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for the video.
1) Initial Diagnosis and Review: I do a bunch of homework, fill out some diagnostics and this is reviewed by one of your coaches. This homework should be a broad sweep of all aspects of my business. if it could be online this would be great - and then it could give me virtual feedback - like your initial online survey on speed. more. deeper.
2) I have an initial consult with a coach one on one. I get some initial homework based on this - for next steps.
3) We schedule a next conversation for whenever we think this can be done.
etc.
But I'd soooooo love to get an outside, birds eye view look at my business. I silently suspect that i'm passing over huge opportunities without even being aware of them.

Thank you for the video as well as the idea. I believe you are a genius and teach things that others don't. I would definitely love to be part of one of your coaching programs but it would have to include your support. What I have noticed is that everyone wants to sell a product but not give any support. If you had a coaching program with phone support that would make it worthwhile.

I'm the dude Eben referenced at the beginning of the video. I took one of the techniques he taught me at the beginning of the program and decided to apply it instantly. Not next week, not tomorrow, but right that second.
Eben introduced a contest for "Quick Implementation" but that was not really the reason I decided to try out the technique. The true reason was simple, and it goes a little something like this...
When you hang out in great company like Eben and the other hundreds of brilliant marketers in attendance at "Altitude" it's almost impossible to not feel some sort of responsibility to take action. I had just learned an amazing strategy that I knew could make me some quick money. And if I didn't apply that strategy right away, I felt like not only was I letting myself down, but also Eben and his whole team.
You see, I've been super lucky to learn from some of Eben's really good friends. I'm one of the most fortunate guys on the planet in my mind. The things that have been shared with me I'll cherish for my entire life.
But it's because I'm willing to actually go out and do what I'm told that I'm offered the opportunity to "mastermind" with such great talent. If I was just some seminar dude who was trying to suck energy, time, or money out of these guys I'd never of gotten anywhere.
Instead, I've always focused on how I could enrich and bring value to other people's lives and businesses with "NO EXPECTATION OF RECIPROCATION".
Of course, what goes around comes around, but that is never my intention. I just truly love helping people out who deserve it. And it's no surprise to me the luxury's I've been rewarded in internet marketing community because of this attitude.
Anyways, back to that money I made with Eben's killer strategy.
The truth is, this tip was so simple. It took just a quick mind shift, and a HUGE "AHA MOMENT" erupted like Mt. Saint Helens in my brain.
45 minutes later I had crafted a new blog with just one post. In that post I introduced a little technique that Eben shared and I felt like it was going to do very well. Then I crafted a email and sent it to a pretty small list.
Usually a promo like this will convert at about 2% for me if I'm very lucky.
So my goal was to make $1000 in sales in 24 hours with a sale price of $30 (and some change).
Was this technique really going to work? I'd never of known if I didn't take action. So after less than a hour of messing around on the computer the email was sent and I sat back to see if it would work.
SADLY, I FAILED ON MY GOAL OF $1000! :-(
At exactly 24 hours, I had only made $973.09 from Eben's tip.
Ah schucks.. $26.91 short.
However, I did hit the one thousand mark a few minutes later. And today, the orders keep piling in like clockwork. And, the offer has converted at 4.2% so far. (Almost double of what something similar normally does)
But here's the real beauty beyond the money from one or two days...
I'm going to incorporate this into my LONG TERM STRATEGY and make so much cash from this one simple idea it's crazy. This little tip should be able to pull in those kind of sales everyday if I put in a wee bit of effort.
I know lot's of people balk at the idea of paying $10,000 to go to a seminar. Heck, that's a ton of cheese to spend for most people.
But you have to look at the bigger picture. Eben easily added an additional 6 figures to my business if I continue to just do what he said. And the truth is, this particular thing is easier then learning how to record the Chicago Cubs game on a Tivo.
Sometimes it just takes a very little thing to have your mind shift and look at it a bit differently. I think Tony Robbins calls it the "2 centimeters" thing. Major shifts in life are often just very minor tweaks that you are not looking at properly.
But when you are able to adjust and see clearly, often people catapult into success almost instantaneously if they can make that 2 cm adjustment. Sadly most will resist for some odd reason.
What I did was not hard. It was not laborious. It was simply a 2 centimeter adjustment and the willingness to actually test out Eben's advice on a small list.
And keep this in mind... all this revenue was created from less than 1000 people.
I'm sure most of you could get in touch with 1000 people in a reasonable amount of time as well and do the exact same thing.
So when Eben asks "Are you interested in a mastermind type of group" I have only one thing to say...
"Does A Bear Sh*t In The Woods"?
After the things I've witnessed from Eben, his Altitude Team, and all his friends, I'd say you'd have to be a nutcase to not take advantage of working with a group of people so immensely talented.
And beyond talent, there is one thing that made me really love Eben more so then 99% of other marketers....
Eben has a genuine concern about the well being of other people's live financially, emotionally, and spiritually. I could talk about this for days because these type of forces are ones that guide my entire life and business as well.

awesome video, your information is clear, concise and succint. You really do underline the word VALUE in terms of the content and FREE information you share. Your ongoing coaching sounds a useful idea.
One of the things I find as a problem with online coaching/training is that it looses that personal touch. It seems everyone is prepared to tell you what/how to do stuff via video etc.
But having a mastermind group where you can share ads, give feedback on whats been written, brainstorm ideas, and basically work together to help each other.... would be awesome.
For me to join or for it to meet my needs it would have to be 2 or even 3 dimensional where we all get to share our ideas, successes and failures to truly help each other become more successful.
Eban, firstly thank you for taking the time out of your amazing seminar to post this great idea. I totally agree with what you are saying. My biggest problem I find is geographics. Most of the key Internet Marketers around the world are located in USA. So to realistically attend some of these seminars from Australia is hard. I am about to attend a seminar next weekend being held by Mal Emery to raise funds for ovarian cancer which is for the first time going to allow me to meet some of the US Masterminds. So I took my one thing that is holding me back and put it at the top of my page as suggested, and wrote down the 3 people who I would like as part of my mastermind 'dream team' and I am going to use it next weekend to make it a reality. I would love to implement your idea of creating a Mastermind Group of likeminded people in Australia so that we could have some of the amazing opportunities made available monthly in the US. I have been trying to learn IM for the last 10mths online by myself and it is taking far too long. I know for a fact that having a Mastermind Group would make the success, that I know is around the corner, come so much faster. What I would like to see happen with your idea is for you to create Mastermind Groups around the world in key centres so that people are not disadvantaged by geographics and can network and create Mastermind Groups in their own locations. That would be fantastic. I totally put my hand up to help lead a Mastermind Team in Sydney Australia because I think this is the easiest and fastest way to generate successful entrepreneurs.

Fabulous point and crucial. I have been learning to focus on "team, team, team" as espoused by Loral Langemeier. I find that I need what I call a sheep dog or a border collie to keep myself in line and accountable. I still work on this every day.
The coaching model is an excellent one; I love to see people with good information sharing it with others. I am already involved in various programs of this type, so I'm not interested in it personally, but I say go for it!
Is anyone confusing the terms MasterMind Group with Mentoring/Coaching??
Mastermind Group means help each other and Mentor/Coach means read, watch, learn-- get to your own personal best with help.
Is anyone confusing the terms leader and follower??
I believe like some of the other posters that there are levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced and pay scales for both MasterMind Group and for the separate Mentor/coach group.
And I believe leader and follower are interchangeable according to your individual gifts and/or toward common or individual goals.
Most here comment on Mastermind and Mentor as same term. I think distinction is important to success.

Hmm. The first thing you said was the most important to me. I have been in business 20 years and I put all my money in the buildings, when I should have put it into hiring the right people to be my mastermind group. I could be the example of how not to build a business. I am still in business, but, I could have been making a lot more money had I had this guidence 20 years ago. I am listening and ready to implement these ideas.

In response to your question, there are several different ways I would like to create a mastermind group.
1) One way is to build a "mastermind adventure get-a-way" where a select group of people get together for a weekend in an exotic location, share their stories, suggestions and a thrilling experience. I know this sounds like marketing hype but this is what Yanik Silver is in the process of creating for his mastermind group.
This is similar to the annual excursions Yanik hosted in the past but I think he's going to start charging more for it and hold the events more frequently.
I'm not sure how much he will be charging for the new style of mastermind mini-vacation but I can bet it's about 25% - 50% more. The difference between the two would be more of a focus on bonding and creating a shared experience.
2)Create a social networking forum. Mike Dillard (my former roommate) created a web 2.0 type site where members can create profiles, invite friends and post comments and he's already having a lot of success with it. It's like Magnetic Sponsoring meets MySpace.
Mike launched the site several days ago and is already having a lot of success with it. His whole thought behind creating the site was to find a way to leverage himself, create value for his company and drive up the revenue so he can sell it. Sounds like a good idea, huh? Yeah, well he got it from you. :)
He's at your conference so if you want to know more about how his site is going just ask and he'll be happy to share.
3) Create a "mastermind conference." This would be similar to your Get Altitude conference (which I'm killing myself for not being able to go) but with a focus on pairing up attendees into several groups throughout the 4 day event, specifically designed to network and more importantly solve other attendees problems given the advice they just heard from you.
4) A mastermind group with Eben and friends? Are you kidding? I'd LOVE to be able to meet you and your team (alright sounding kind of creepy now) but I would imagine the cost of something like that would blow most people out of the water.
Yes, the $10,000 is totally worth it (and I've referred several people there) but I would imagine the cost for individual attention would be much higher than people have available cash for.
So how about if you do what Style has done and create a kind of "Eben Life Academy" full of articles to read, ebooks to buy, a self evaluation questionnaire to cheat on (I think I missed master PUA on Neil's quiz by a few points), etc. That way you can leverage yourself more effectively and have your team head it up as instructors (which is another thing Mike is doing).
Oh yeah, you may also want to give your instructors the flexibility to train your members in their own area of specialty. That way your instructors can create and sell their products to your members while you make a percentage of the profit.

The people you've attracted to attend this event are the PLAYERS of the internet marketing and off line marketing world. I feel like I'm in pre-school compared to some of these people but I'm extremely inspired and have totally change my perspective on what we're doing.
The one nugget I can leave here for you and others, is that my attitude has changed to an absolute "I can do it", and the fear and hesitation has been removed and replaced with real tips and strategies that are invaluable. The payoff from the attendance to this event will without doubt have a cumulative value of a minimum of 10-20 million... not a bad deal when I only had to sport 10K.

Would I be interested in support form a mastermind group coaching program? Hell yes! There's an old saying "if you wish to be successful, surround yourself with successful people" and it is true.
The top performers in all fields do not merely cease to have coaching when they reach the top; one of the things that separates them from the rest is that they never cease studying and learning.
I also am an "ideas person" and have fantastic ideas - several of them possible multi million dollar ideas I would say. But not sure if I could currently afford your mastermind coaching program. Perhaps you could help me bring my brilliant ideas to fruition and then I could pay you later? It would show your confidence in your method to do such a thing.. :)
Your video spells out exactly the concerns churning around inside my head. I do feel isolated and being surrounded by like-minded people would be so powerful. Being quite new to the business I imagine that I'd have to prove myself first before an experienced marketer would be interested in being part of my personal mastermind group. But it's a viscious circle because proving yourself, with no one to pick up the phone to, is quite slow. That's why the techniques that you and other experts give away for free are worth their weight in gold. Thank you. I am careful who I take advice from and would not like to spend precious time in a "mastermind forum or group" for example if I didn't know how qualified the members are who are giving advice/participating. Time is the most important asset we have. I guess I've answered my own question - you have to pay for/invest in good advice until you prove yourself - only then can you work alongside the experts in mutually beneficial ways. Anyway, thank you again for all the free advice. I'm making my list and of course your name is there!
Great stuff, I´m a big fan of Think and grow rich, so this mastermind group thing is something I´ve been thinking of a long time.
Would be great to build one, I just don´t know how to get time for it with 3 different projects running in startup phase, girlfriend, learning processes and trying to keep the body and soul still on top.
Maybe you could give me some time management tips, I could use a few more hours a day ;)
But of course mostly I would need a great powerful energy source to give me inspiration and energy to make everything run smoothly (omg I´m I talking about the mastermind group here??).

And to make naturals and masterminds that don't ever heard you and don't know you work together with you is something that is hard to believe for me..maybe i just need more experience in life and advices. and to make something profitable i think a lot of money is needed. it's not easy for me to see how things happen i got some cool ideas but i can't figure out how to make it happen the right way.

There are so many "guru's" programs out there, but I feel like your videos have shown just a tip of the iceberg of everything that you could share with people in a Coaching Program. Hello Eben The number one thing that's slowing me is: How to get properly set up to enable me to sell on Clickbank. The three most influential people I've had corrospondance with on the internet are: Daniel Levis, Clayton Makepeace news letters, Addison Wiggins news letters. I would say, a mentor would be one who would first, target the persons real needs and present level of understanding about creating a business on the Internet,and make a discouvery as to how much, or how little, the person really knows about the computer and its use, etc.... You, really covered some of the areas, I'm trying to get done, my FAT team is what I called them, Master Mind Team, I have a coaching team, building slowly, but the Auto Generators, and Responders I have problems with, the people I want to do them, are not really friends of mine, but someone else's, they will not put me in contact with them, so it looks like that will be an outsource, when I really want to keep it inhouse. Building the Master Mind Team, has become conflicting at times, when the main two who started don't agree, in the direction only because one does not think or know the area very well, thinks we should just skip it and come back to it, the Support Group, is important, but I need more people who think like me, thats where I am stuck, with not enough FAT people on my Team that know what to do, all leads back to me doing it all, then I might as well do it alone. Is how I feel, but its not possible, I know it will work how do I make them see that too?
I don't know if you got my message it doesn't seem to be here, so I'll try again. You call it your Master Min people, I call them my FAT Team people, I have too many on my Team, that are not Like Minded, not by my choice, they want to skip past the Autogenerator, and Auto-responder, business because they don't know enough about it, let another company do it for us, they don't want to learn it, so I know it I have been on line since the internet started. I think to myself, when I am around the ones that are not like minded, and I wonder what they did to get here, since my friend Steve, and I are only pulling in 700k a year, and want to make it 10 times that, it seems, like I need a new team. I was taught about marketing that everyone should cross train that is on your team, should someone not be available and something happens you have back up. Maybe I still thinking too much like run the regular business, and not the Virtual side of business, but I have built 6 website, just got 4 awards on 2006, for them, and recently gotten an Ezine article award, for Expert Article writer. I know about computers I have Master Degree in it, instead of my team wanting to move in the right direction, they are thinking about building the team bigger, before the business gets bigger, there is something wrong with this thinking, they are not all Master Minds, like our email batches, we have a problem, auto-generator, and responder, Management Team, no problem, we have Coaching Team, I think I need more Like Minded People on my Team.

Eben--I LOVE the idea of ongoing coaching. I also really love the idea of a Mastermind group of like-minded business owners. I already do this informally with other retailers, but it would be great to have a regular group to be part of. My only hesitation about getting more involved with the Altitude program has been the TYPE of business i own. I am a specialty-store (women's boutique)retailer, and it seems that most of the people you talk about are doing internet sales. Certainly, there are many crossovers, and I have gotten wonderful info from your videos--thank you, by the way for those--but, at this point (I am poised to open another store with an offshoot product line)--I really need to talk with people who have retail experience (SUCCESSFUL retailers, that is). So that's my feedback. Best of luck at Altitude--it sounds terrific.
Sounds like a great idea! Even though you'll be competing with everyone else out there with a money making plan. You really know what you're talking about unlike though other people.
I think the idea of your offering a coaching group or mastermind group is a good one. Developing a list of such people on my own has a lot of merit, but isn't necessarily easy to do as I don't know very many people who have the skill set to build an online business, particularily in the niche I am trying to serve.
Your stuff sounds amazing and I've benifitted greatly from your DYD material. It really changed my life and helped me realise I can achieve a higher quality of life. So I decided to move from Ireland to Philadelphia with my company to chase my American dream. I was wondering if you had any plan to make some material available in the form of a dvd/cd program? DYD style.

Like so many have already commented, your free information and videos are so informative and direct that it would be considered a mini networking or mastermind group in itself.
You already have a large but silent mastermind group already through e-mails, blogs, you-tube, etc. so to implement a program to initiate a way to break the silence would only be beneficial for all parties involved.
Long story short: YES! You should definitely without a doubt start a program that builds a strong image in the form of a Mastermind Group.

Something occured to me near the end of the event on Friday.
Ivelina and I were wolfing down our lunch and reviewing notes, when I began to look around the restrauant and noticed all of the apparently successful business executive types all around us. It struck me the folks enjoying their lunches near us had no idea that there were several hundred smart, motivated, industrious entrepreneurs less than a hundred yards away in another part of the hotel learning new, never before business concepts, strategies, and ideas that would untimately, in many cases, give the attendees of Altitude the ability to wax them clean in business.
On the bright side, some of those apparently successful business professionals will be smart enought to know when they are getting lucky and partner with members of Altitude if given the opportunity. Let's hope its many.

But the trouble with "experts" is most of them have their own invested interests. So are they a consultant or a competitor?
So this service needs to be run and staffed by people who ONLY teach.
Unlike most of the other IM gurus who pimp 0.01% of their skill/luck.
I appreciate there is a furony.com between an expert teacher because they are a current do'er, and a teacher who was a do'er.
But why would a current do'er help others anyway? Either they aren't doing well enough, or want to do more, possibly at your expense.
So I'm looking for a team/pool of experienced wise old monks, not the latest wiz kid school leaver who accidentally found that mis-spelling luck with an i, worked once, for him.

Another coaching program? Yes, if it would be one with a forum where other people than the initiator or his team cannot give 'tips'. Why? Because nobody can verify whether the tip came from one who DID it himself or from a person who is trying himself. Plus a one-to-one coaching for those who are already making at least a six-figure income.
Absolutly true about having the right people availible to you for support. They can make all the difference to your success or failure. For those that do not have this type of foundation what about a place of connection for support for newly forming or stuggling companies. Basic how to, one stop source with reliable ethics. Share your concepts in a way people could search for their need, similar to a Help button.

Before, watching this video I was hesitant to join a Affiliate marketing course called Wealthy Affiliates. As soon as you made mention about the support group info, I jumped off the fence and went ahead and joined for the simple fact that they are not like any other in that they have a forum where everyone shares info and ideas and gives answers to any questions that one may have along the way.

Well, it sounds interesting and for some reason it also sounds familiar. I always believed in a concept like that. Because what makes an attorney a great attorney ? Hi Eben. I've read/viewed all your great material but I still don't know if Altitude is addressed ONLY to web-based businesses--did you mention that somewhere? I have ideas for both web-based and non-web-based businesses, and I have a feeling that web-based businesses will have faster results and the results will be easier to grow. But then I'm going to need a beginner's course in web-based businesses in general before I can think about assembling a Mastermind team. Any ideas about where to find that?
Putting a mastermind team together has been the hardest part for me. I meet with my employees once a week to brainstorm ideas for my business. But eventually I am the only one with ideas. Kinda drains me mentally at the end of the meetings.

I like the idea of a mastermind group. I have purchased the coaching via internet classes and call in for issues. I only seem to the basic info to start my ecommerce. I would like to get the detail info on how things really get done. I have already started the list where our business needs help.

You should definitely create a coaching program, and then a forum or contact list of some sort where people in the program can have access to so they can network. This would be the mastermind group.

I'm interested in your idea but I think it would be most effective to offer it as an almost organic medium rather than a static one(like dvd's or cd). For example: A website set-up much like a singles or dating site. You pay a monthly fee to be able to blog and communicate online with an already constructed master mind group like yours.There you can ask questions, bounce ideas and overcome challenges-evn create profiles maybe. cheers.
Mastermind groups can be great. I've had several and have lead some. Your successful career would lead one to want to "hang out" at your place.
There should be a mandatory preface to any mastermind group. It should include training on application and implementation. The AHA's of life, such as your friend's idea that launched your success are actually quite frequent. We just fail to see them for the value they hold, thinking surely someone else must have been doing this.
I'm sure someone has alluded to this somewhere among the 300+ comments here (don't have time to read them all, sadly), BUT: my primary frustration with other forum-based programs is that the forum model, which has unbelievable potential, is often not used well. I'm currently taking part in a group in which the forum was pitched as one of the major benefits, and it's essentially worthless. And my interest in this particular program wanes with each passing day.
Now, it's not so much the fault of the participants as the fault of the people who set the program up. If you want people to really participate in forums and get value out of them, you have to tell them exactly what to do.
My suggestion (and by the way, I'm very interested in the coaching program): a detailed profile for each member should be MANDATORY, and should include things like industry, specifics about the person's business, specific goals for the program, what kinds of people the person needs to connect with (Ã la Eben's hotel room video exercise where you wrote down your three dream people for each category you need help with), and so forth. Kind of like a dating site where you want to know as much as possible about the person you're considering getting in touch with.
Since your business acumen seems to be impeccable, I don't doubt the the content of the program will be excellent. My concern is much more in the delivery.

I think it is a great idea and simple. However with all the hype there who is the one to thrust on being your advisers if you're on one side of the corner in which is difficult to thrust people. Once someone told me your adviser could be some that has done the job and you can see his work, though not so many people share their real accomplishments. I've done many of what the so called gurus have said and I haven't got any results yet though I'm willing to learn and determined to succeed on this. The hardest part for me is this, taking the concept of the business I desire & moving it into reality. This can only be done by being shown the way, being receptive to the ideas which allow the business to get off the deck. This process can only be done by coaching & masterminding.

I really like the video. Great stuff. It would be great to have "go to" people that can make it happen as you put it. One would email the contact and explain what it is exactly that they need, and they would get an answer as to the cost of implementing. Nothing short of a turn key solution will do for me. But there's got to be resources out there that have pretty much answers to everything. Google your question in a question like form and millions of answers pop up...What else does one need? However I support a system, a "bank" like resource that would have a general idea as to how much each little steps cost, and it would be posted, with all the requirements as to what one would have to supply the resource with to execute. Eben, you have a gift. I have only been introduced to you recently by Dr. Mercola, but, instinctively, I know you are trustworthy and "the real deal". That comes through loud and clear in your effective communication skills, your demeanor, and personal energy. I assume that were I to conduct due diligence on your background, the results would only confirm my evaluation. Therefore, I believe that you can truly help people. The Internet is so jammed packed with hypesters, me-too-millionaires, and any variety of "you can make it just like me sorts" that it comes off as just NOISE. Your "MasterMind" Group idea is obviously not a new one, but, if it were YOUR Mastermind Group that people were able to access and build upon, then I believe that would have untold value. I am intersted as well. the online concept of a mastermind transcends the time and travel component and would allow people to be more efficient with there time, energy and money.
So many business owners, including start-ups like myself are always re-inventing the same wheel due to lack of resource capital (not to mention financial capital); or what you call a Mastermind Group.
I'm starting a seminar training business for the general aviation piloting market. My first obstacle is finding the right name. I certainly don't have that expertise and I haven't found an affordable servicer in this area that one is simply not selecting on blind faith alone.
I also manage a flight school which is branded to a large, national aircraft manufacturer. Our school along with all the rest are not receiving any synergy in "mastermind resources" from this large corporation. We're all left in the same situation as an independent operation when it comes to having access to a variety of expert resources to help make our businesses better.
Your thoughts on this are exactly on track. I think there is a terrible need in most all business segments, especially for the smaller, entreprenuerial types to be able to have access to a "national mastermind database".
If access was easy, the expert base comprehensive and affordable it would be a "huge" contribution the business community and I suspect over time to the national economy.
My current situation is plowing through a hard to find group of people I need; trying to assess on my own if they really know what they're talking about; and usually coming up with very pathetically, disappointing results.

I think you got it. I've been a buyer of systems in the past and continue being disappointed because there is no one to adjust and bounce ideas off of when the system needs tweaking.

You know I just got done reading succeed and grow rich through persuasion by Napoleon Hill and now that I have brought the subject of master minding to the surface of my consciousness I have been hearing the term over and over again. There are several programs online that "coach, mentor, sell programs" and cost the eagar student money.
I have yet to witness true mentorship or an apprentice program. This program can take a group of start-ups through the trials and experience of success.
Then the successful start-ups can teach another group and so. What a fantastic way to give back, influence change, pass it on and create a movement.

Dear Eben; I have found your presentations to be refreshing, very accessible, and most importantly - very practical. The Mastermind Concept, as you know, has been a favorite topic of Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, to name a few. Regarding the project that I have undertaken, some of the challenges I face are new and so far I can not find the footsteps of others to follow, and the path from here to there is not yet clear. With over 30 years of experience in treating patients, I can state, with no degree of exaggeration, that the 'tool' I have designed - a simple medical device that measures the function of eight critical parameters of human physiology will change the way health care is evaluated and administered. We will finally be able to understand the cause and cure of diseases like Autism and Alzheimer's, Cancer, Heart disease and Diabetes. The device will also make prescription medications safer by eliminating negative drug-drug interactions. My goal of internet marketing is to be able to bring this tool to the marketplace by achieving independent funding so that I can protect the device from being suppressed. Hi, i'm just wondering- how exactly do YOU build relationships and connect with people? Do you recommend learning conversation techniques, nlp techniques, etc. or do you just try to make friends? or is there a correct approach?
It's 1:11 a.m. MST and it took me about 2 hours to take action on what you suggested about overcoming obstacles in the brief video from your hotel room. Not exactly a "throw away" idea, because it caused me to move from inaction on a problem with programming to finding a possible solution with outsource help I was unwilling to take because I was "timid" in asking the people I wanted to help me. I don't yet have all their answers, but as of writing, one response looks quite promising.

A short overview of whatever ongoing business that some one might be setting up. In other words a brief spot check of some ones layout of thier approach and plans to start thier business and some fairly specific steps they need to take to get from point a to b. So that they start out with a basic service that gets them up and running and bringing money . Then when they start making money from this basic service you can upsell them to larger packages of counciling and consulting services to help expand thier company. the problem with the larger consulting services is that they don't accomadate the poeple starting out and by the time the company is up and running the relationship is not in place for said company to trust you. Whereas if that relationship was being built as the new companies were starting,it would allmost be an automatic upsell and ongoing goto realtionship that would feed the nessasary marketing data into your company as the target client progressed thru the business cycle ejedd100@sbcglobal.net Edward Williams

I've really enjoyed your free videos and have some fantastic ideas. I'd love to do coaching and be surrounded by people who are successful at building business. The challenge is how to balance doing the work in the business to put food on the table, compared with finding the time to work on the business and find the capital to get some of these ideas off the ground.

You asked for thoughts regarding coaching or mastermind groups. I have mixed thoughts. I already am part of a mastermind group, but I seriously need to make a change and get higher-octane people there to help me. So on one hand, yes I'd be interested in joining a mastermind group.
However, my issue is low-to-moderate effectiveness for free versus high effectiveness for big dollars.
Every offer to join MM groups that I've received from super-high-octane folks such as you have come with a (high) price tag. I find those to be cost-prohibitive. They promise to "skyrocket" me, and they probably would, but coming up with initial cash is something I haven't figured out YET. I'm working on it. For now I'll keep reading like a maniac and bumble along with my lower-octane friends. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for the video.

If it's reasonably affordable ($1k-$5k total), I would absolutely be interested in this and a personal mastermind group coaching program.

1) Initial Diagnosis and Review: I do a bunch of homework, fill out some diagnostics and this is reviewed by one of your coaches. This homework should be a broad sweep of all aspects of my business. if it could be online this would be great - and then it could give me virtual feedback - like your initial online survey on speed. more. deeper.
2) I have an initial consult with a coach one on one. I get some initial homework based on this - for next steps.
3) We schedule a next conversation for whenever we think this can be done.
etc.
But I'd soooooo love to get an outside, birds eye view look at my business. I silently suspect that i'm passing over huge opportunities without even being aware of them.

I'm the dude Eben referenced at the beginning of the video. I took one of the techniques he taught me at the beginning of the program and decided to apply it instantly. Not next week, not tomorrow, but right that second.
Eben introduced a contest for "Quick Implementation" but that was not really the reason I decided to try out the technique. The true reason was simple, and it goes a little something like this...
When you hang out in great company like Eben and the other hundreds of brilliant marketers in attendance at "Altitude" it's almost impossible to not feel some sort of responsibility to take action. I had just learned an amazing strategy that I knew could make me some quick money. And if I didn't apply that strategy right away, I felt like not only was I letting myself down, but also Eben and his whole team.
You see, I've been super lucky to learn from some of Eben's really good friends. I'm one of the most fortunate guys on the planet in my mind. The things that have been shared with me I'll cherish for my entire life.
But it's because I'm willing to actually go out and do what I'm told that I'm offered the opportunity to "mastermind" with such great talent. If I was just some seminar dude who was trying to suck energy, time, or money out of these guys I'd never of gotten anywhere.
Instead, I've always focused on how I could enrich and bring value to other people's lives and businesses with "NO EXPECTATION OF RECIPROCATION".
Of course, what goes around comes around, but that is never my intention. I just truly love helping people out who deserve it. And it's no surprise to me the luxury's I've been rewarded in internet marketing community because of this attitude.
Anyways, back to that money I made with Eben's killer strategy.
The truth is, this tip was so simple. It took just a quick mind shift, and a HUGE "AHA MOMENT" erupted like Mt. Saint Helens in my brain.
45 minutes later I had crafted a new blog with just one post. In that post I introduced a little technique that Eben shared and I felt like it was going to do very well. Then I crafted a email and sent it to a pretty small list.
Usually a promo like this will convert at about 2% for me if I'm very lucky.
So my goal was to make $1000 in sales in 24 hours with a sale price of $30 (and some change).
Was this technique really going to work? I'd never of known if I didn't take action. So after less than a hour of messing around on the computer the email was sent and I sat back to see if it would work.
SADLY, I FAILED ON MY GOAL OF $1000! :-(
At exactly 24 hours, I had only made $973.09 from Eben's tip.
Ah schucks.. $26.91 short.
However, I did hit the one thousand mark a few minutes later. And today, the orders keep piling in like clockwork. And, the offer has converted at 4.2% so far. (Almost double of what something similar normally does)
But here's the real beauty beyond the money from one or two days...
I'm going to incorporate this into my LONG TERM STRATEGY and make so much cash from this one simple idea it's crazy. This little tip should be able to pull in those kind of sales everyday if I put in a wee bit of effort.
I know lot's of people balk at the idea of paying $10,000 to go to a seminar. Heck, that's a ton of cheese to spend for most people.
But you have to look at the bigger picture. Eben easily added an additional 6 figures to my business if I continue to just do what he said. And the truth is, this particular thing is easier then learning how to record the Chicago Cubs game on a Tivo.
Sometimes it just takes a very little thing to have your mind shift and look at it a bit differently. I think Tony Robbins calls it the "2 centimeters" thing. Major shifts in life are often just very minor tweaks that you are not looking at properly.
But when you are able to adjust and see clearly, often people catapult into success almost instantaneously if they can make that 2 cm adjustment. Sadly most will resist for some odd reason.
What I did was not hard. It was not laborious. It was simply a 2 centimeter adjustment and the willingness to actually test out Eben's advice on a small list.
And keep this in mind... all this revenue was created from less than 1000 people.
I'm sure most of you could get in touch with 1000 people in a reasonable amount of time as well and do the exact same thing.
So when Eben asks "Are you interested in a mastermind type of group" I have only one thing to say...
"Does A Bear Sh*t In The Woods"?
After the things I've witnessed from Eben, his Altitude Team, and all his friends, I'd say you'd have to be a nutcase to not take advantage of working with a group of people so immensely talented.
And beyond talent, there is one thing that made me really love Eben more so then 99% of other marketers....
Eben has a genuine concern about the well being of other people's live financially, emotionally, and spiritually. I could talk about this for days because these type of forces are ones that guide my entire life and business as well.

One of the things I find as a problem with online coaching/training is that it looses that personal touch. It seems everyone is prepared to tell you what/how to do stuff via video etc.
But having a mastermind group where you can share ads, give feedback on whats been written, brainstorm ideas, and basically work together to help each other.... would be awesome.
For me to join or for it to meet my needs it would have to be 2 or even 3 dimensional where we all get to share our ideas, successes and failures to truly help each other become more successful.
I hope you can meet my need! :-)

Eban, firstly thank you for taking the time out of your amazing seminar to post this great idea. I totally agree with what you are saying. My biggest problem I find is geographics. Most of the key Internet Marketers around the world are located in USA. So to realistically attend some of these seminars from Australia is hard. I am about to attend a seminar next weekend being held by Mal Emery to raise funds for ovarian cancer which is for the first time going to allow me to meet some of the US Masterminds.
So I took my one thing that is holding me back and put it at the top of my page as suggested, and wrote down the 3 people who I would like as part of my mastermind 'dream team' and I am going to use it next weekend to make it a reality. I would love to implement your idea of creating a Mastermind Group of likeminded people in Australia so that we could have some of the amazing opportunities made available monthly in the US. I have been trying to learn IM for the last 10mths online by myself and it is taking far too long. I know for a fact that having a Mastermind Group would make the success, that I know is around the corner, come so much faster.
What I would like to see happen with your idea is for you to create Mastermind Groups around the world in key centres so that people are not disadvantaged by geographics and can network and create Mastermind Groups in their own locations. That would be fantastic. I totally put my hand up to help lead a Mastermind Team in Sydney Australia because I think this is the easiest and fastest way to generate successful entrepreneurs.

Fabulous point and crucial. I have been learning to focus on "team, team, team" as espoused by Loral Langemeier. I find that I need what I call a sheep dog or a border collie to keep myself in line and accountable. I still work on this every day.
The coaching model is an excellent one; I love to see people with good information sharing it with others. I am already involved in various programs of this type, so I'm not interested in it personally, but I say go for it!

Is anyone confusing the terms MasterMind Group with Mentoring/Coaching??
Mastermind Group means help each other and Mentor/Coach means read, watch, learn-- get to your own personal best with help.
Is anyone confusing the terms leader and follower??
I believe like some of the other posters that there are levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced and pay scales for both MasterMind Group and for the separate Mentor/coach group.
And I believe leader and follower are interchangeable according to your individual gifts and/or toward common or individual goals.
Most here comment on Mastermind and Mentor as same term. I think distinction is important to success.

In response to your question, there are several different ways I would like to create a mastermind group.
1) One way is to build a "mastermind adventure get-a-way" where a select group of people get together for a weekend in an exotic location, share their stories, suggestions and a thrilling experience. I know this sounds like marketing hype but this is what Yanik Silver is in the process of creating for his mastermind group.
This is similar to the annual excursions Yanik hosted in the past but I think he's going to start charging more for it and hold the events more frequently.
I'm not sure how much he will be charging for the new style of mastermind mini-vacation but I can bet it's about 25% - 50% more. The difference between the two would be more of a focus on bonding and creating a shared experience.
2)Create a social networking forum. Mike Dillard (my former roommate) created a web 2.0 type site where members can create profiles, invite friends and post comments and he's already having a lot of success with it. It's like Magnetic Sponsoring meets MySpace.
Mike launched the site several days ago and is already having a lot of success with it. His whole thought behind creating the site was to find a way to leverage himself, create value for his company and drive up the revenue so he can sell it. Sounds like a good idea, huh? Yeah, well he got it from you. :)
He's at your conference so if you want to know more about how his site is going just ask and he'll be happy to share.
3) Create a "mastermind conference." This would be similar to your Get Altitude conference (which I'm killing myself for not being able to go) but with a focus on pairing up attendees into several groups throughout the 4 day event, specifically designed to network and more importantly solve other attendees problems given the advice they just heard from you.
4) A mastermind group with Eben and friends? Are you kidding? I'd LOVE to be able to meet you and your team (alright sounding kind of creepy now) but I would imagine the cost of something like that would blow most people out of the water.
Yes, the $10,000 is totally worth it (and I've referred several people there) but I would imagine the cost for individual attention would be much higher than people have available cash for.
So how about if you do what Style has done and create a kind of "Eben Life Academy" full of articles to read, ebooks to buy, a self evaluation questionnaire to cheat on (I think I missed master PUA on Neil's quiz by a few points), etc. That way you can leverage yourself more effectively and have your team head it up as instructors (which is another thing Mike is doing).
Oh yeah, you may also want to give your instructors the flexibility to train your members in their own area of specialty. That way your instructors can create and sell their products to your members while you make a percentage of the profit.

The people you've attracted to attend this event are the PLAYERS of the internet marketing and off line marketing world. I feel like I'm in pre-school compared to some of these people but I'm extremely inspired and have totally change my perspective on what we're doing.
The one nugget I can leave here for you and others, is that my attitude has changed to an absolute "I can do it", and the fear and hesitation has been removed and replaced with real tips and strategies that are invaluable. The payoff from the attendance to this event will without doubt have a cumulative value of a minimum of 10-20 million... not a bad deal when I only had to sport 10K.

Would I be interested in support form a mastermind group coaching program? Hell yes! There's an old saying "if you wish to be successful, surround yourself with successful people" and it is true.
The top performers in all fields do not merely cease to have coaching when they reach the top; one of the things that separates them from the rest is that they never cease studying and learning.
I also am an "ideas person" and have fantastic ideas - several of them possible multi million dollar ideas I would say. But not sure if I could currently afford your mastermind coaching program. Perhaps you could help me bring my brilliant ideas to fruition and then I could pay you later? It would show your confidence in your method to do such a thing.. :)
Your video spells out exactly the concerns churning around inside my head. I do feel isolated and being surrounded by like-minded people would be so powerful. Being quite new to the business I imagine that I'd have to prove myself first before an experienced marketer would be interested in being part of my personal mastermind group. But it's a viscious circle because proving yourself, with no one to pick up the phone to, is quite slow. That's why the techniques that you and other experts give away for free are worth their weight in gold. Thank you. I am careful who I take advice from and would not like to spend precious time in a "mastermind forum or group" for example if I didn't know how qualified the members are who are giving advice/participating. Time is the most important asset we have. I guess I've answered my own question - you have to pay for/invest in good advice until you prove yourself - only then can you work alongside the experts in mutually beneficial ways. Anyway, thank you again for all the free advice. I'm making my list and of course your name is there!

Would be great to build one, I just don´t know how to get time for it with 3 different projects running in startup phase, girlfriend, learning processes and trying to keep the body and soul still on top.

And to make naturals and masterminds that don't ever heard you and don't know you work together with you is something that is hard to believe for me..maybe i just need more experience in life and advices. and to make something profitable i think a lot of money is needed. it's not easy for me to see how things happen i got some cool ideas but i can't figure out how to make it happen the right way.

There are so many "guru's" programs out there, but I feel like your videos have shown just a tip of the iceberg of everything that you could share with people in a Coaching Program. The number one thing that's slowing me is: How to get properly set up to enable me to sell on Clickbank.
The three most influential people I've had corrospondance with on the internet are: Daniel Levis, Clayton Makepeace news letters, Addison Wiggins news letters.
I would say, a mentor would be one who would first, target the persons real needs and present level of understanding about creating a business on the Internet,and make a discouvery as to how much, or how little, the person really knows about the computer and its use, etc....
Yes, I'm interested in being coached, which could lead to coaching others myself....

You, really covered some of the areas, I'm trying to get done, my FAT team is what I called them, Master Mind Team, I have a coaching team, building slowly, but the Auto Generators, and Responders I have problems with, the people I want to do them, are not really friends of mine, but someone else's, they will not put me in contact with them, so it looks like that will be an outsource, when I really want to keep it inhouse. Building the Master Mind Team, has become conflicting at times, when the main two who started don't agree, in the direction only because one does not think or know the area very well, thinks we should just skip it and come back to it, the Support Group, is important, but I need more people who think like me, thats where I am stuck, with not enough FAT people on my Team that know what to do, all leads back to me doing it all, then I might as well do it alone. Is how I feel, but its not possible, I know it will work how do I make them see that too?
I don't know if you got my message it doesn't seem to be here, so I'll try again. You call it your Master Min people, I call them my FAT Team people, I have too many on my Team, that are not Like Minded, not by my choice, they want to skip past the Autogenerator, and Auto-responder, business because they don't know enough about it, let another company do it for us, they don't want to learn it, so I know it I have been on line since the internet started. I think to myself, when I am around the ones that are not like minded, and I wonder what they did to get here, since my friend Steve, and I are only pulling in 700k a year, and want to make it 10 times that, it seems, like I need a new team. I was taught about marketing that everyone should cross train that is on your team, should someone not be available and something happens you have back up. Maybe I still thinking too much like run the regular business, and not the Virtual side of business, but I have built 6 website, just got 4 awards on 2006, for them, and recently gotten an Ezine article award, for Expert Article writer. I know about computers I have Master Degree in it, instead of my team wanting to move in the right direction, they are thinking about building the team bigger, before the business gets bigger, there is something wrong with this thinking, they are not all Master Minds, like our email batches, we have a problem, auto-generator, and responder, Management Team, no problem, we have Coaching Team, I think I need more Like Minded People on my Team.

Eben--I LOVE the idea of ongoing coaching. I also really love the idea of a Mastermind group of like-minded business owners. I already do this informally with other retailers, but it would be great to have a regular group to be part of. My only hesitation about getting more involved with the Altitude program has been the TYPE of business i own. I am a specialty-store (women's boutique)retailer, and it seems that most of the people you talk about are doing internet sales. Certainly, there are many crossovers, and I have gotten wonderful info from your videos--thank you, by the way for those--but, at this point (I am poised to open another store with an offshoot product line)--I really need to talk with people who have retail experience (SUCCESSFUL retailers, that is). I think the idea of your offering a coaching group or mastermind group is a good one. Developing a list of such people on my own has a lot of merit, but isn't necessarily easy to do as I don't know very many people who have the skill set to build an online business, particularily in the niche I am trying to serve.
Your stuff sounds amazing and I've benifitted greatly from your DYD material. It really changed my life and helped me realise I can achieve a higher quality of life. So I decided to move from Ireland to Philadelphia with my company to chase my American dream. I was wondering if you had any plan to make some material available in the form of a dvd/cd program? DYD style.

Like so many have already commented, your free information and videos are so informative and direct that it would be considered a mini networking or mastermind group in itself.
You already have a large but silent mastermind group already through e-mails, blogs, you-tube, etc. so to implement a program to initiate a way to break the silence would only be beneficial for all parties involved.
Long story short: YES! You should definitely without a doubt start a program that builds a strong image in the form of a Mastermind Group.

Something occured to me near the end of the event on Friday.
Ivelina and I were wolfing down our lunch and reviewing notes, when I began to look around the restrauant and noticed all of the apparently successful business executive types all around us.
It struck me the folks enjoying their lunches near us had no idea that there were several hundred smart, motivated, industrious entrepreneurs less than a hundred yards away in another part of the hotel learning new, never before business concepts, strategies, and ideas that would untimately, in many cases, give the attendees of Altitude the ability to wax them clean in business.
On the bright side, some of those apparently successful business professionals will be smart enought to know when they are getting lucky and partner with members of Altitude if given the opportunity. Let's hope its many.

But the trouble with "experts" is most of them have their own invested interests. So are they a consultant or a competitor?
So this service needs to be run and staffed by people who ONLY teach.

Another coaching program? Yes, if it would be one with a forum where other people than the initiator or his team cannot give 'tips'. Why? Because nobody can verify whether the tip came from one who DID it himself or from a person who is trying himself. Well, it sounds interesting and for some reason it also sounds familiar. I always believed in a concept like that. Because what makes an attorney a great attorney ? Hi Eben. I've read/viewed all your great material but I still don't know if Altitude is addressed ONLY to web-based businesses--did you mention that somewhere? I have ideas for both web-based and non-web-based businesses, and I have a feeling that web-based businesses will have faster results and the results will be easier to grow. Putting a mastermind team together has been the hardest part for me. I meet with my employees once a week to brainstorm ideas for my business. But eventually I am the only one with ideas. Kinda drains me mentally at the end of the meetings.

I'm interested in your idea but I think it would be most effective to offer it as an almost organic medium rather than a static one(like dvd's or cd).
For example: A website set-up much like a singles or dating site. You pay a monthly fee to be able to blog and communicate online with an already constructed master mind group like yours.There you can ask questions, bounce ideas and overcome challenges-evn create profiles maybe. cheers.
Mastermind groups can be great. I've had several and have lead some. Your successful career would lead one to want to "hang out" at your place.
There should be a mandatory preface to any mastermind group. It should include training on application and implementation. The AHA's of life, such as your friend's idea that launched your success are actually quite frequent. We just fail to see them for the value they hold, thinking surely someone else must have been doing this.

I'm sure someone has alluded to this somewhere among the 300+ comments here (don't have time to read them all, sadly), BUT: my primary frustration with other forum-based programs is that the forum model, which has unbelievable potential, is often not used well. I'm currently taking part in a group in which the forum was pitched as one of the major benefits, and it's essentially worthless. And my interest in this particular program wanes with each passing day.
Now, it's not so much the fault of the participants as the fault of the people who set the program up. If you want people to really participate in forums and get value out of them, you have to tell them exactly what to do.
My suggestion (and by the way, I'm very interested in the coaching program): a detailed profile for each member should be MANDATORY, and should include things like industry, specifics about the person's business, specific goals for the program, what kinds of people the person needs to connect with (Ã la Eben's hotel room video exercise where you wrote down your three dream people for each category you need help with), and so forth. Kind of like a dating site where you want to know as much as possible about the person you're considering getting in touch with.
Since your business acumen seems to be impeccable, I don't doubt the the content of the program will be excellent. My concern is much more in the delivery.

I think it is a great idea and simple. However with all the hype there who is the one to thrust on being your advisers if you're on one side of the corner in which is difficult to thrust people. Once someone told me your adviser could be some that has done the job and you can see his work, though not so many people share their real accomplishments. I've done many of what the so called gurus have said and I haven't got any results yet though I'm willing to learn and determined to succeed on this.

I really like the video. Great stuff. It would be great to have "go to" people that can make it happen as you put it. One would email the contact and explain what it is exactly that they need, and they would get an answer as to the cost of implementing. Nothing short of a turn key solution will do for me. But there's got to be resources out there that have pretty much answers to everything. Google your question in a question like form and millions of answers pop up...What else does one need?
However I support a system, a "bank" like resource that would have a general idea as to how much each little steps cost, and it would be posted, with all the requirements as to what one would have to supply the resource with to execute.

Eben, you have a gift. I have only been introduced to you recently by Dr. Mercola, but, instinctively, I know you are trustworthy and "the real deal". So many business owners, including start-ups like myself are always re-inventing the same wheel due to lack of resource capital (not to mention financial capital); or what you call a Mastermind Group.
I'm starting a seminar training business for the general aviation piloting market. My first obstacle is finding the right name. I certainly don't have that expertise and I haven't found an affordable servicer in this area that one is simply not selecting on blind faith alone.
I also manage a flight school which is branded to a large, national aircraft manufacturer. Our school along with all the rest are not receiving any synergy in "mastermind resources" from this large corporation. We're all left in the same situation as an independent operation when it comes to having access to a variety of expert resources to help make our businesses better.
Your thoughts on this are exactly on track. I think there is a terrible need in most all business segments, especially for the smaller, entreprenuerial types to be able to have access to a "national mastermind database".
If access was easy, the expert base comprehensive and affordable it would be a "huge" contribution the business community and I suspect over time to the national economy.
My current situation is plowing through a hard to find group of people I need; trying to assess on my own if they really know what they're talking about; and usually coming up with very pathetically, disappointing results.
I am anxious to see what you come up with; and in the meantime I will continue to grind along trying to build a mastermind group.

I think you got it. I've been a buyer of systems in the past and continue being disappointed because there is no one to adjust and bounce ideas off of when the system needs tweaking.
When it is not your system you fail to innovate and immediately the system becomes obsolete. I believe that to succeed you become the system operator and find the people to help make course corrections as needed. It's a pleasure to receive your info.

I have found your presentations to be refreshing, very accessible, and most importantly - very practical.
The Mastermind Concept, as you know, has been a favorite topic of Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, to name a few.
Regarding the project that I have undertaken, some of the challenges I face are new and so far I can not find the footsteps of others to follow, and the path from here to there is not yet clear.
With over 30 years of experience in treating patients, I can state, with no degree of exaggeration, that the 'tool' I have designed - a simple medical device that measures the function of eight critical parameters of human physiology will change the way health care is evaluated and administered. We will finally be able to understand the cause and cure of diseases like Autism and Alzheimer's, Cancer, Heart disease and Diabetes. The device will also make prescription medications safer by eliminating negative drug-drug interactions.
My goal of internet marketing is to be able to bring this tool to the marketplace by achieving independent funding so that I can protect the device from being suppressed.
A Mastermind Group would be extremely helpful to me in this endeavor.

Your idea seems doable after you have made your internet land-fall of cash. However, what do you do if you are not connected to experts and don't have millions of dollars to hire an expert mastermind team?

Here's what I think: to create a sort of "Global Underground Business Mastermind" IT'S a great idea.
I must confess I tend to "learn" BAD HABITS from my mastermind fellows a lot quicker than this "untamed winning mentality" that you mention.
Yes, keeping around highly skilled people IS useful... I just wonder HOW to deal with side effects?
Second observation: is this mastermind program really going to make of YOU a sort of full-time talent/business scout? Because... it seems to me that this is the (secret) hope of many who left comments:
They WANT a mastermind program but, more than anything, THEY ALL WANT _YOU_ IN THEIR MASTERMIND!

Do you recommend learning conversation techniques, nlp techniques, etc. or do you just try to make friends?

It's 1:11 a.m. MST and it took me about 2 hours to take action on what you suggested about overcoming obstacles in the brief video from your hotel room. Not exactly a "throw away" idea, because it caused me to move from inaction on a problem with programming to finding a possible solution with outsource help I was unwilling to take because I was "timid" in asking the people I wanted to help me. I don't yet have all their answers, but as of writing, one response looks quite promising.
For a life-long procrastinator vowing to change, I am taking small steps on the road to small successes. Thanks for encouragement.

A short overview of whatever ongoing business that some one might be setting up.
In other words a brief spot check of some ones layout of thier approach and plans to start thier business and some fairly specific steps they need to take to get from point a to b.
So that they start out with a basic service that gets them up and running and bringing money .
Then when they start making money from this basic service you can upsell them to larger packages of counciling and consulting services to help expand thier company.
the problem with the larger consulting services is that they don't accomadate the poeple starting out and by the time the company is up and running the relationship is not in place for said company to trust you.
Whereas if that relationship was being built as the new companies were starting,it would allmost be an automatic upsell and ongoing goto realtionship that would feed the nessasary marketing data into your company as the target client progressed thru the business cycle
